let’s start a commission..
FAQ
-
What does the process look like?
Commissions are an honor + joy to create. I want to ensure we've brought your vision to life which is why I try to keep collectors involved in the process (of course, only if you want to be! I love a good surprise & understand if you do too.)
Once a project begins, I will touch base with photos and videos throughout the process for approval or revisions (traditionally 2-3x.) Once I receive your final stamp of approval, the piece will be varnished, wired and ready for delivery.
-
What is the timeline for commissions?
Commissions typically take 4-6 weeks. I accept a limited number each quarter to keep turnaround as quick as possible and will always let you know if your piece is ready sooner than expected. After submitting a commission questionnaire, I will respond with a more detailed quote which will include a timeline on when to expect your new art.
If you need a piece rushed, this is available for an added fee.
-
Do you offer framing?
Unless otherwise requested, all pieces are completed on a gallery wrapped canvas with a 1.5” profile. These canvases look great unframed but I am also happy to connect you with framing professionals that can assist with the finishing touches.
-
What sizes are available?
The beauty of a commission is we can create a piece that is perfect for your space. I have sizes I regularly work with (included in the questionnaire) but love larger or unique scale projects so please don’t hesitate to ask! If shipping, larger pieces will incur packaging + shipping fees but I can provide quotes for this based on your location.
-
Is payment required before a commission begins?
I require a 50% deposit to begin a custom piece and the remaining balance will be due after completion, before delivery.
I want you to absolutely love your new art and if for some reason that isn’t the case, I’m happy to apply your deposit towards existing pieces on my website. Once a commission has received final approval, no credits or refunds are available.

Can I gift a commission to a loved one or client?
Absolutely! Art makes the best, most unique gift. I offer gift cards for commissions or can bill you directly vs. the receiver throughout the process.
